Summer Camp
Our summer camp series PasspART: Explore the World of the Arts serves a variety of ages and interests. Camp takes place at the Boyle County Performing Arts Center and is open to ALL students in our community - not just those that attend Boyle County Schools. Camp costs $100 and includes all supplies, lunch, snacks, and a camp tshirt. Free/reduced lunch pricing is available. CLICK HERE to see if your family qualifies for a reduced rate. Explore the World of POParts: June 16-20
NEW THIS YEAR: Students will explore the World of the POParts choosing from a variety of arts classes - from printmaking to musical theatre to jazz band and more! All camp classes will center around a POP culture theme. Students get to choose 4 classes across all disciplines and rotate through like a day at an arts school. A sample schedule could be:

Kids can choose whatever classes they want! If a kid wants 4 visual art classes - they can do that! If they want to sing and dance all day, they can do that! Families will recieve a sepearte email after registering for camp to choose classes. Class offerings are listed below. Camp will conclude with a brief performance and showcase of art created.
WHEN: June 16 - 20, 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Drop-off from 8:30 AM each day.

WHO: Rising 4th graders through 12th graders from ANY school

Class Offerings
Fuzzy, Stringy & Stitched: A Creative Fiber Adventure! Teacher, Mrs. Taylor: Unleash your creativity in this hands-on fiber arts class! Explore the art of needle felting where you'll sculpt wool into charming shapes and textures using specialized barbed needles. Dive into string art, crafting intricate designs by wrapping colorful threads around nails on wood. Finally, discover the timeless craft of embroidery, learning essential stitches to embellish fabric with beautiful patterns.
Block & Roll Printmaking that POPS! Teacher, Mrs. Snow: In this exciting and hands-on session, young artists will dive into the vibrant world of printmaking, exploring a variety of techniques to bring their creative visions to life. Inspired by iconic artists like Andy Warhol and Pablo Picasso, campers will experiment with bold colors, patterns, and textures to design their own unique prints.
Multimedia Art: 3D Adventures! Teacher, Ms. Weeks In this imaginative and hands-on course, campers will explore the exciting world of three-dimensional art through multi-media sculpture. Using a wide variety of materials—including cardboard and found objects—young artists will bring their ideas to life in bold, creative forms.
Happy Little Painting: Teacher, Ms. Weeks Unleash your inner artist in Happy Little Painting, a fun and relaxed summer art camp class inspired by everyone's favorite artist - Bob Ross! Campers will explore painting techniques using acrylics on canvas to create cheerful landscapes and whimsical scenes - your very own happy little painting!

Class Offerings
Street & Hip Hop Dance. Teacher, Mrs. Palmer: Get into the groove with our dynamic Hip Hop Dance class! Campers will learn the latest moves and street-style choreography while building strength, rhythm, and confidence. Set to popular, kid-friendly music, this high-energy class encourages creativity, self-expression, and plenty of fun.
Jazz Dance Class. Teacher, Mrs. Palmer: Get ready to move and groove in our high-energy Jazz Dance class! Campers will learn the fundamentals of jazz technique, including kicks, leaps, and turns, all set to upbeat, age-appropriate music. Through fun choreography and expressive movement, dancers will build confidence, coordination, and rhythm.

Improvisation. Teacher, Ms. Jenkins: Unlock your creativity and enhance your spontaneity in an engaging Improv Class! Designed for students of all skill levels, this class provides a supportive environment where participants can explore the art of improvisation through games, exercises, and collaborative performances.
Scene Work. Teacher, Ms. Jenkins: Dive into the world of dramatic storytelling in our Scene Work Class! This course is perfect for aspiring actors and seasoned performers alike who want to enhance their skills in character development, dialogue delivery, and emotional authenticity. In this class we will take scenes and work on breaking them apart, build characters, work on emotion and line delivery, and perform for each other.
Musical Theatre. Teachers, Mrs. Palmer, Ms. Jenkins, Mr. Wolf: A Collaborative Journey through Theater, Music, and Dance Step into the spotlight in our exciting Musical Theater Class, where the vibrant worlds of theater, music, and dance come together in a powerful collaboration! Designed for performers of all levels, this class offers a comprehensive approach to the art of musical theater, empowering students to express themselves through multiple disciplines.

Pop Rocks! A Pop Music Choir. Teacher, Mr. Wolf: Sing your heart out in our upbeat Pop Rocks choir class! Campers will learn fun vocal techniques and harmonies while performing popular, age-appropriate songs from today’s hits and timeless favorites. This energetic group experience builds confidence, teamwork, and stage presence—all while having a blast singing the music they love. No experience needed—just bring your voice and your enthusiasm!.

Jazz Band. Teacher, Mr. Cornn:Join the jam in our fun and energetic Jazz Band class! Open to young musicians with experience on their instrument, this class offers the chance to perform in a group setting, learn jazz standards, and develop musical confidence.
